Question.1      What is Photoluminescent Material?

Answer.1         It is material that accumulates light energy when exposed to natural or artificial light sources. Then it gradually releases this energy in the form of visible light in the dark.

Question.2      What is Photoluminescent Material made of?

Answer.2         It consists mainly of Aluminum oxide in combination with other oxide and rare earth elements.

Question.3      Is Photoluminescent Material natural or man-made?

Answer.3        It is man-made chemical compound.

Question.4      Is the existing Photoluminescent Material the same as the one that was used for old luminescent watches?         

Answer.4         It has not been changed in theory. But the primitive one was a sulfide including radioactive elements. It is rarely used due to its health hazard. The existing one, which was developed in 1990, is an Aluminum oxide including no hazardous substance.

Question.5      Is Photoluminescent Material organic or inorganic?

Answer.5         It is inorganic.

Question.6      What are the differences in performance and luminescence brightness between the sulfide types and the Aluminum oxide types?

Answer.6         The sulfide type is not appropriate for outdoor use because it easily leads to chemical reactions. On the contrary, the Aluminum oxide type is chemically stable. It is ten to 20 times brighter and glows more than ten times longer than the sulfide type Photoluminescent Materials.
